Have gone through three in three years. The power supply is always on and in Texas summer it can't handle the heat and burns up every august or September. Can't just replace power supply so I hooked up battery charger to run chlorinator. Will not ever buy another one. Look for brand other than Intex.

For me, the one thing that I love about this new Saltwater Generator is that it saves me time. All I need is regular salt. I don't need to go to some special pool store to get chlorine, I just need salt. And, it doesn't need that much of it. You pretty much set it up once and it runs and keeps it clean and free of germs for an entire season!!!! - now I just enjoy it. That's why I bought it i

  • This is a great product

I've used this for 2 years on a 21' x 54" round pool. It has been trouble free. The only minor problem is the on/off switch sticks a bit. It has virtually eliminated the need for any chemicals. I only add salt when I open the pool after winter and maybe once during the summer. I have not seen any problems with the grass where I backwash (the salt water does not seem to affect the grass).

  • LOVE IT!

Posted by Lothar on 10th Oct 2013

We have only had it for about a month, but so far it is amazing. Just [$] worth of salt for our 15' x 4' pool. No chemicals, crystal clear water, and no nasty chlorine feel. I read many reviews on this product before I purchased it and one common complaint was that you have to scrub the copper and titanium plates about once a month to keep it working-- I will gladly trade 30 minutes of cleaning

  • Never thought that it would be so easy!!

This is the best system that I have seen for pool maintenance. The water is crystal clear withno daily service. No chemicals, just add salt and turn it on. I never thought that owing a pool could be so easy. I did not know that this product even exhisted until I saw it on a video and than researched it on the net. I would highly recommend it to anyone that owns a pool.

  • Best thing I've bought all Summer

  • Chlorine Generators Rock!

Posted by <3 My Pool on 10th Oct 2013

We had our Chlorine Generator for 2 years and then it did not work anymore. (Summer use only) It was well worth the [$]. We would have spent that in chlorine alone. The water stays pristine. Still have to add Algae killer (but not as often) and you will still need to buy chlorine stabilizer chemical... but, as I said the water stays pristine, and you don't smell like you were swimming in bleach water

  • 2 Seasons and going strong

Posted by Dan on 10th Oct 2013

This thing works like charm. I have used it for 2 seasons now and have had no problems at all. I originally had it hooked up to the Intex pump/cartridge filter. At the start of the 2012 season I upgraded to a 1 ½ Hp 2 speed pump and 22 inch sand filter. I run the Saltwater System on the low speed setting and it works perfectly! Once you have everything set up, it pretty much regulates itself. Thi
